A picture that I found the other day...Jack and Grandma when Caton and Michelle lived in Parker, Colorado years ago. I think it was in December, there was snow outside and Christmas decorations up. I was babysitting the kids while Caton and Michelle were on a trip. Jack didn't know what to think of me. All I remember is that he loved to eat blueberries and he was as quiet as a mouse.
Peter and Linda came down to spend this Thanksgiving with her family. We invited them with my parents and Heather and Taylor, who were also going to be gone, to a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. Kevin and I were leaving to spend Thanksgiving holidays with East Coast kids.
Matt and Belize's house in Durham, North Carolina. A beautiful neighborhood and wooded area. Wish I had pictures of the inside of the house. Belize is so creative. It looked like it was out of House Beautiful. Loved the space.

Eve at her dance class. We all enjoyed her enthusiastic jumps, dainty skips and lovely poses. And for this outfit, she couldn't live without it. It was on her every day we were there.

Never thought in my life that I would be sitting next to my sweetheart in these great seats.
In the Duke Library, they have an original Book of Mormon in the special archive section. They bring you the book and you can actually handle it and read it in while you are there. It was a very moving experience for both of us. We love this book and we love the prophet Joseph Smith and all that he did so that we can have the Book of Mormon today.
We know that it is a true record and testifies of Jesus Christ.
The cover is original. The binding has been replaced or restored in it's originality.
Printed in 1830. Not sure of the history of this book and who donated this to the library, but just think of the early hands that have examined or read these pages. The prophet could of easily held this in his hand and given it the original owner of this book. Think of the many lives that have been changed because of the 1st printing of this wonderful book.
Thanksgiving day with Matt, Belize, Eve and Dane. Just saying the prayer and ready to feast up in the kitchen with Turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, gravy, yams, mixed green salad, fresh fruit, brussel sprouts with purple onions, homemade orange rolls and pie.
You will have to see Belize's blog to get the scrumptious visuals of the meal, but Eve represents all of us. It was the best ever. Eve also put together the nice centerpiece. A few of nature's gifts around the yard in the fall including the strips of bark in the vase.
A nice tour of a nearby Tobacco Plantation that had been restored and made into a park.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving day with Matt and Belize we got on a plane and flew down to Fort Myers and stayed with Ryan and Tricia in their nice place in Estero for a few days. We had so much fun seeing the courthouse and office where Ryan and Tricia work. And of course loved hearing Ryan tell of his cases and especially loved Tricia's versions, who we love so much. She cooked us some of her family's famous dishes that left us drooling for them for weeks after we left.
Ryan did good to marry this girl!
I am sure all of Ryan's and Tricia's clients are as happy as we are!
At Michelbobs BBQ - Best ribs in South Florida!
We took a little afternoon trip up to the Myakka River State Park in Sarasota. We hiked and walked crossed this Canopy walkway. It lead to a high tower that we had to climbed up to see the view.
On the top of the tower. We are pretty high! Not a mountain in sight, but lots of wildlife below. We saw interesting birds and families of boars below us. You could see for miles in all directions. We waited on top for a while so we could see the sun set.
One of those inspiring ends to a wonderful day.
